Heart Failure Technologies, Inc. (HFT) is a Minnesota based developmental stage biopharmaceutical company.  Founded by some of the countries foremost experts on heart failure, HFT has developed a novel product and therapy called A.M.R.I.T. (Advanced Myocardial Revitalization Therapy).  A.M.R.I.T. has been designed to significantly prolong survival and alleviate symptoms for heart failure patients.  A.M.R.I.T. is slated to be clinically and commercially applicable for the 5 million heart failure patients in the United States and the 22 million heart failure patients worldwide.

BioDrain Medical was formed in 2002 to create competitively priced, environmentally safe systems for the collection and disposal of bio-hazardous fluids that result from surgical procedures and post-operative care.  The founders include the product co-inventors Jeffrey Drogue and Jay Nord and the management team that consists of Mr. Nord, Lawrence Gadbaw, President & CEO, Gerald Rice, CFO & Secretary and Peter Morawetz, Board Member.  BMI is in a start-up mode employing Mr. Gadbaw and Mr. Rice and has completed no sales to date.  BMI provides the operating room (OR) with a faster, cleaner, safer and less costly method of disposing blood, saline and other body fluids during surgical procedures.  The process is less intrusive because it eliminates the fluid collection canister currently used by practically all hospitals and day surgery centers.  Existing products expose healthcare workers to blood-borne diseases because they require more handling and fluid transfer and are more costly because they utilize canisters that must be inventoried, set up, taken down and disposed of.  The Company has completed development work on its Fluid Management System (FMS) and has obtained UL approval.  Product demonstrations commenced in January 2005 with favorable responses from OR and other hospital personnel.  BMI has set up a manufacturer in Grantsburg, Wisconsin and a sales office in the same city.  The Company is also in the process of setting up a network of hospital distributors in the U.S. that will sell the FMS.  BMI has established a distributor in the UK and is developing contacts for China, Korea, Australia, Canada, Mexico and the Middle East.
